Chris Daw is stepping down as Executive Director of Quidditch Canada, effective immediately, due to personal circumstances.

“It is with unimaginable regret that I must resign my role as Executive Director of Quidditch Canada. A series of personal circumstances require my time and attention for the foreseeable future, and it would be incredibly unfair to our volunteers, members, and supporters for me to remain as Executive Director as I take time away from the position. Thank you all for sharing your passion, dedication, and enthusiasm for this incredible sport with me. I hope to reconnect with you in the future. In the mean time, I thank you for your continued support, and I wish you the very best going forward.”

The Directors wish Daw all the best and thank him for his service as Executive Director. Over the past 9 months, Daw has secured lasting partnerships with Entripy and Fox40 for the organization. He has also provided invaluable insights into opportunities and next steps for official inclusion of quidditch on the world stage.

The departmental Directors will be splitting the duties of the Executive Director between them until a suitable replacement is found. A posting for the position will go up in the near future, as Quidditch Canada begins its recruitment and hiring drive for the new season. Moving forward, queries that may have been directed to Daw can be sent to the departmental Director most appropriate for the circumstance, or to info@quidditchcanada.com.
