Quidditch Canada is unveiling plans for a Teams Council – a representative body for member teams.

Quidditch Canada announced its intention to establish a Teams Council last season as part of their initiative to improve transparency and increase consultation with teams. A committee was tasked with designing a proposal for this Council, and, after a summer-long process, that work has been completed. Quidditch Canada would like to thank committee-members Brian Gallaway, Cayley Mendoza, Laura Lepine, Misha Whittingham, Rachel Ranieri, and Nina Patti for their hard work.

The goal of the Council is to give member teams a platform to represent their concerns and ideas, provide greater transparency into Quidditch Canada’s operations, and create an easier process for meaningful consultation of teams. The first Council session will open September 24th, and will be composed of one representative from each League and Development team.
