Quidditch Canada Regionals to be Livestreamed

Quidditch Canada is excited to announce that for the first time ever, quidditch will be livestreamed in Canada. Quidditch Canada will be working with SportsCanada.TV to broadcast over 20 matches live, with commentary, from the upcoming ‘Quidditch Weekend in Canada’. Both Western and Eastern Regional Championships will be taking place on November 12-13. The Western Regional Championship will be taking place at Sullivan Heights Park in Surrey, British Columbia, while the Eastern Regional Championship will be held at Iceland Fields in Mississauga, Ontario.

“I am looking forward to bringing our sport, live, to a wider audience than ever before. I believe that this is a natural step for our sport to become more accessible and consumable for Canadians,” said Events Director Sachin Kotecha. “I hope that this first occurrence in this country proves to be a positive building block for the future of the sport in Canada.”

SportsCanada.TV is Canada’s largest online amateur sports network. They have a wide-ranging experience working with many other Nationals Sports Organizations in Canada.

Matches can be watched throughout the weekend at sportscanada.tv/quidditchcanada.
