Rulebook Released for the 2018-19 Season

For the upcoming 2018-2019 season Quidditch Canada will be following USQ Rulebook 12 with the following amendments. The Gameplay Department continues to strive to provide the best quidditch environment for our members, prioritizing both safety and competitive play.

The department is currently working on revising the Assisted Referee (AR), Snitch Referee (SR), and Head Referee written tests to reflect the rulebook changes. Head referees from this past season (who officiated at least one official game) will not be required to complete another field test this season, but will be required to complete the Head Referee written tests. All other officials will be required to retake the written tests. The department aims to have updated written tests available for the first weekend of September. More information will be communicated closer to the release date.

The Gameplay Department will be in contact with team representatives over the next few weeks to go over rule changes and the impact this will have on gameplay for the upcoming season.
