Yara Kodershah named Executive Director of Quidditch Canada
STATEMENT FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
ON THE APPOINTMENT OF YARA KODERSHAH AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
On September 17, the Board of Directors unanimously passed a resolution appointing Yara Kodershah as Executive Director of Quidditch Canada, effective September 20, 2019. Yara takes over from Robert Rock, who generously lent his time and talents to the organization over the last several months. The Board thanks Robert for his service and welcomes Yara to her new role.
Yara brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and experience to her new position. She first joined the quidditch community in 2013, working her way up through roles of increasing responsibility and having most recently served as the manager of Quidditch Canada’s Communications Department. She has a refined understanding of players’ and teams’ needs, having started as a player herself. Today, she is an assistant coach to eastern Canada’s Valhalla Quidditch team.
Yara holds a Master of Education degree from the University of Toronto, and has been a volunteer of Quidditch Canada since 2017.
We are confident Yara will propel Quidditch Canada onto continued success, as she works to implement the policies of the organization and the strategic goals of the Board.
Signed,
The Board of Directors, Quidditch Canada
