Quidditch Canada first introduced livestreaming at its Major Events in the 2016/17 season in partnership with sportscanada.tv. This initial HD livestream received praise from within the quidditch community for its quality and consistency. Since first introducing the livestream, viewers from over 30 countries have tuned in to watch.

For the upcoming National Championship in Hamilton, Ontario from March 31-April 1, Quidditch Canada is excited to announce that we will be partnering with WeeStreem to produce an upgraded HD livestream experience. The feature pitch will be a multi-camera experience, including picture-in-picture snitch cam. Not only that, but for the first time, every single game at a Quidditch Canada Major Event will be livestreamed. Pitch 2 and 3 will have at minimum a single static camera streaming each game. Games will be livestreamed on YouTube to the Quidditch Canada Game Footage channel, eliminating the need for post-event video processing for team consumption.

“I look forward to working with WeeStreem as Quidditch Canada continues to be on the leading edge of livestreaming quidditch around the world.”
