Katie Brown Hired as Director, National Team Program

Long-time Quidditch Canada player and volunteer, Katie Brown, has been hired our National Team Program Director.

Brown has been playing and volunteering in the quidditch community since 2014. Her playing tenure includes Team Canada appearances with the 2016 and 2018 National Teams, serving as the National Team’s Player Representative for the 2018 team. As such she is passionate about supporting the athletes who make this program possible.

As the National Team Director she is responsible for overseeing the Quidditch Canada National Team program to recruit and train our highest level athletes, while ensuring that the program aligns with the long-term strategic priorities of the organization.

Professionally, Katie is an environmental scientist with experience in research and regulatory fields. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science focusing on climate change and lake hydrology of a northern freshwater delta.

Katie Brown joins Head Coach Michael Howard and Assistant Coach Ittaana Krow as the core volunteer group spearheading our National Team program.
