Quidditch Canada 2022 Season Event Roster Released

We’re back! Quidditch Canada is excited to announce the successful bid winners for its 2022 fall season events.

After extensive consultation with our members, building on the success of our 2021-22 Return to Quidditch Framework, Quidditch Canada will be hosting a shortened fall season for league level teams. Quidditch Canada will host five major events across five cities, which will include the return of a National Championship for the first time since 2019.

Eastern Divisional Tournament: Cornwall, ON – Optimist Park – October 15, 2022

Quidditch Canada will host its first event in Cornwall, ON, featuring teams across Eastern Ontario and Quebec.

“We’re really excited to be selected to host a Quidditch Canada event for the first time in Cornwall,” said Kevin Lajoie, Tourism Officer with the City of Cornwall. “Over the past several years, Cornwall has established itself as a preferred host site for major sporting events and conferences. The Quidditch Canada Eastern Divisionals further solidifies that.”

Western Divisional Tournament: TBA.

In consultation with our western members, and in an effort to ensure that the event meets the event standards necessary for our events, Quidditch Canada is working to plan this event separate from the bid process, as no suitable bids were received. More information will be communicated to teams.

Eastern Regional Championship: Oshawa, ON – Civic Recreation Complex – November 12 to 13, 2022
